Hi There!

I'm Cara B.

Hi!  I’m Cara and am a former infertility warrior turned mom of twins.  I’m passionate about being a coach as I know the stresses of infertility AND pregnancy/postpartum after infertility.  It’s a roller coaster ride that nobody should have to go through alone.  That’s why I’m here!

Welcome to my World!

A little bit about me

After 14 fertility treatment cycles over the course of 3 years, I felt frustrated by the lack of support in regards to the trauma inflicted by infertility.  Support was limited to mental health experts, most of whom were not versed in the complicated world of infertility, and a million promises of various approaches to “get you pregnant once and for all!”

After implementing specific self care, mindset, physical & spiritual health strategies, I fell pregnant with my children.  I chose to make changes to help relieve the extreme stress and anxiety that was contributing to the trauma of it all, and my life changed dramatically.

Using a variety of methods I learned through 20 years as a licensed massage therapist & licensed esthetician specializing in fertility, pregnancy, & postpartum bodywork & skincare, The Hormonal Mama was born.

But how?

After my twins were born, I had to put my job on hold.  I had to put my private practice on hold so I could focus on my children.  I had spent at that point, 5 years building my business and seeing massage and skin care clients at my studio while teaching massage therapy continuing education courses a few times a month.  But life got busy, and I knew it was time to step back and focus on family, with the plan of returning to work part time when my kids were about 9 months old.

Then in 2020, right when my kids were 9 months old, the world came to a standstill and the pandemic began.  I had been itching to get back to work, but it wasn’t possible.  So I started a podcast documenting my experiences with infertility & pregnancy/postpartum after infertility and my experiences and knowledge on the professional side.

This led to my continuing interest in helping people, but in a different way.  Virtually.  So I studied up and became a coach!  I became a certified integrative wellness life coach and took some health coaching courses as well.  This taught me how to take all all around approach as a coach, while implementing what I did for myself personally during these complicated experiences.

Going through infertility is hard, but you don’t need to do it alone!  My coaching programs, courses, and masterclasses give you the tools you need to take back the control that infertility (and pregnancy or postpartum after infertility) has over your life.

Never again will you feel alone or lost in a sea of fertile people.  Whatever season of infertility you are in, I am here to help you find yourself again and rediscover your happiness.

Whether this is your first day or 20th year with infertility.  If you are pregnant or postpartum after infertility, or even if you have adopted or are fostering, you deserve support!

I also offer individual coaching calls and packages.

Fun Fact!

What you may not know, is that in addition to being a coach, massage therapist, esthetician, & educator, I am also an artist.  One of my hobbies is sewing.  Specifically with vintage and antique Singer sewing machines.  It’s a hobby I picked up right after my 30th birthday party, which propelled me to starting my own handmade business in 2012.  Since then I’ve been designing and making women’s wallets and handbags using vintage and antique upholstery fabrics combined with more modern textiles.

It’s a hobby I love that I don’t have a ton of time to put into right now, but plan on getting back to part time in the near future.  You can check out some of my wallets here:  Cara B. Design Studio.

Here are some ways I may be able to help you ...
